My 2014 Book Wishlist

March 1, 2014 in Book Reviews, Bookish Posts, Fiction

What’s on your 2014 Reading Wishlist? I’ve chosen 8 books that I’m really excited about this year, some are part of a series of books, some are stand alone, but all promise to be brilliant! I’ve linked to their Goodreads pages so you can have a read of the blurbs over there.

2014 books wishlist2

1. What Milo Saw by Virginia Macgregor, July 2014.

2. The Taking by Kimberly Derting, April 2014. – Book 1 in The Taking series. We love Kimberly Derting, we blogged about her Body Finder series here.

3. Frog Music by Emma Donoghue, April 2014.

4. Irene by Pierre Lemaitre, March 2014 – Book 1 in the Verhoeven Trilogy

5. Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo, June 2014 – Book 3 in the The Grisha series.

6. Heir of Fire by Sarah J Mass, September 2014 – Book 3 in the Throne of Glass series. We blogged about book one, Throne of Glass here.

7. A Boy Called Hope by Lara Williamson, March 2014.

8. The Boy That Never Was by Karen Perry, March 2014.

I know I said 8 books but there are two more I want to add… The Thorn of Emberlain by Scott Lynch. It’s book 4 in the Gentleman Bastard series and due out in November.

The last book is because I’m a HUGE fan of A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin, in fact I’m rereading them right now. You could therefore guess that I’m a fan of the TV series Game of Thrones. It’s no surprise then that I think A Pop Up Guide To Westeros (April 2014) looks really cool, I want it on my bookshelf!

What books are you looking forward to this year?
