This week the topic is…

10 Bookish People You Should Follow

I’ve decided to pick bookish people / accounts from across all social media platforms, so hopefully you’ll find someone you like! I’ve also included a couple of companies I think you should check out.

The first person on my list was always going to be Maraia. She is such a lovely person, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about books and she has recently started a Bookstagram account YAY! You can find her on Twitter as @maraiazoo or check out her Bookstagram, lettuce_read.

I’ve posted about Jen Campbell before. She is an author, a poet, a bookseller and a book lover. She has a great BookTube channel and she has started a monthly Podcast too!

If you’re a UK-based blogger you probably already follow Bookbridgr in some way. Bookbridgr is a great platform whereby you can connect with publishers to review their books. You can also share your reviews on there. They usually tweet when they’ve made a fresh batch of books available so be sure to follow them on Twitter (@bookbridgr).

Talking of publishers, I definitely recommend checking out the weekly Vintage Vlog on YouTube. It’s uploaded on a Friday and is the perfect coffee break! Each week Will from Vintage chats about a book and offers up copies in a giveaway (the giveaways are generally open internationally). It’s worth following them on Twitter too (@vintagebooks).

I have no doubt that you all already follow Cait at Paper Fury. Her blog posts are brilliant and she spends so much time replying to comments – it’s lovely! She’s also on Twitter (@PaperFury) and Instagram (paperfury) and honestly, she is BRILLIANT! I have had to ban myself from drinking coffee while reading her posts though, as she really makes me laugh!

I love Crini’s Bookstagram page (@xcrini), it’s absolutely beautiful! As well as posting bookish photos, she also blogs and creates the most gorgeous bookmarks (etsy page). I have two of her bookmarks and honestly, I want more!

For all things YA you need to be following @maximumpopbooks on Twitter. They host great takeovers, run fab giveaways and offer up books in exchange for a review on their site. If you’re not following them then you are missing out!

When I first started watching Ameriie’s channel, I had no idea that she was a successful singer-songwriter (I’m not very up on music). She also holds a BA in English so she knows her stuff! She is so passionate about books, speaks very eloquently and has some great insights into the books she has read. I definitely recommend you check our her channel if you haven’t yet.

I talk about Illumicrate quite a lot but I LOVE their boxes and they ship them internationally! They have a great Instagram account (illumicrate) and right now there’s a giveaway on there so don’t miss that!

My final recommendation is for Penguin Platform, “a place for young adults from Penguin Random House”. I’m particularly a fan of their YouTube and Instagram accounts (penguinplatform) – author chats, giveaways and general bookishness.

So there we go, ten bookish accounts I think you should be following / checking out. I had to narrow this down, I could’ve gone on for quite a while!

I’d love to hear your recommendations!
