I love receiving my Illumicrate box, it’s always such a treat! (You can find all of my previous unboxings here.) This quarter is the first time that Daphne has curated a themed box (outwith the one-off giant limited edition boxes she does) and she selected the theme of “Rise Up!” to align with her choice of book for February. So, obviously, I was excited to see what she’d include!
Since I’m unusually early in posting my unboxing, I’m going to put it all in the spoiler section below.

First of all, I unpacked this dagger bookmark by R JACKdotcom with a quote from the fabulous Marie Rutkoski’s The Winner’s Curse.
I really love it and have immediately popped it into my current read.
Next we have this cute HP-inspired phoenix magnet by Hannah Hitchman.
He’s already on my fridge looking fabulous!
This beautifully designed “inimitable mug” is by Abbie Imagine.
I’m not familiar with Hamilton so it took me a while to figure out where this was from. It’s a gorgeous mug though, and I’ve just spent far too long browsing the designer’s Etsy store, swooning over her work!
I always love a good lip balm and this Cinder themed one from Lovely Lip Balm is fab.
It’s juniper and grapefruit and smells delicious. I don’t know if other boxes got a different character but I love Cinder so I was so thrilled with this addition.
Can we please just ignore the fact that this next item isn’t ironed?
This Fight The Darkness cushion cover is designed by Stella Bookish Art and is going to look fantastic with my other bookish cushions.
I LOVE LISTS! So this pad from House of Wonderland is right up my street!
It’s living in my kitchen and is way cooler than my existing scrap paper lists!
As ever, Daphne included lots of extras for us – from book samplers to notepads, I’m not surprised she had to order bigger boxes for this shipment!
We even got an exclusive advanced reader copy of Sally Green’s new novel The Smoke Thieves.
Check out that map and the sprayed pages!
Finally, we have the book for this quarter, Blood and Sand by C.Y. Wyk.
Which came complete with a signed bookplate, pin, bookmark and temporary tattoo!
Wow, this box was amazing! I’m so impressed with the first themed box from Illumicrate.
I can’t believe how much was included. As I said, it wouldn’t all fit in the usual Illumicrate box and I’m not surprised. LOOK AT IT ALL!
