We all know that I love a good bookish subscription box, you can find previous unboxing I’ve done here. I’ve long wanted to get my hands on an Owlcrate box and this month I managed to get one of their Courts, Castles and Kingdoms boxes.
Owlcrate is a YA subscription box that ships from the US (although they are actually a Canadian company) so if you live in the UK you need to factor in their shipping costs. However right now is the PERFECT time to buy as Owlcrate have Black Friday offers running. You can buy their past boxes at a 25% – 50% discount, get money off a new subscription or gift (see codes here) and if you’re a current member they have a discount for you too (here).
Before I show you what came in my box, let me just tell you that these codes are also valid for Owlcrate Jr, their subscription service suitable for 8-12 year olds!
OK, so on to the box. As ever, I’ve put the contents in a spoiler section below. My box arrived really quickly, I was so impressed by that!
Apologies for the photo quality, my excuses are threefold – November in Scotland means terrible light, I no longer have a camera and I’m awful at photography!View Spoiler »
Each box comes with a content card, collectible badge and a wee newsletter.
Check out this Elven Bread soap from Fizzy Fairy Apothecary.
Not only does it look amazing but it smells incredible too!
This Game of Thrones inspired lip balm, Winter Is Here, from Geek Fire Labs is perfect for winter.
It is blackberry mint, and is exclusive to this Owlcrate box.
Sticking with the winter theme, we received this incredible, exclusive Harry Potter themed beanie.
I absolutely LOVE it! It’s curated by Owlcrate and so cosy!
Then there’s this Grisha themed brooch from Juniper and Ivy Designs. Leigh Bardugo is one of my favourite authors so I squealed when I found this in my box!
I don’t tend to wear brooches so when I realised this one is magnetic I decided to add it to my fridge decoration, along with the quote on the reverse of the card.
It makes me smile whenever I reach for my milk!
The final item before the book is this beautiful notebook designed by Stella’s Bookish Art with a quote from Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Mist and Fury.
Quite honestly they couldn’t have picked a better quote for me right now and I’ve already started using this notebook.
All of the items in the box are exclusive and I really think that helps to add to the specialness (is that a word?) of Owlcrate.
Finally, the book…
Lauren DeStefano’s The Glass Spare comes with an Owlcrate exclusive cover as well as a signed bookplate, note and tattoos.

I’m so completely thrilled with this box, and am very impressed with Owlcrate and their service. This box is sold out but if you sign up with one of the Black Friday codes you’ll receive December’s box, Seize The Day.
What do you think of the November Owlcrate?
